Celebrities in the Garden?!

Admittedly the title is a little misleading, but we have planted several types of tomato plants which are growing beautifully, including a variety called “Celebrity.”  While Lindsey and I joked about putting a tomato counter on the blog to keep track of how many tomatoes our over 30 plants yield, they are growing so fast as this point that we can’t even keep up with the counting!

Here is a picture of our very own “budding” Celebrities 😉 In other news, we have been doing a lot of weeding as a few invasive species (most notably thistle) are determined to take over the garden.  We have also been doing some work in the magic garden with weeding and planting basil seedlings.

While we still have room in the magic garden, we are pretty much out of space in the main garden!  We still have to put our carrots, beets, eggplant and brussel sprouts into the ground!  Hopefully since we cleared the upper region of the garden (which used to look like a small jungle) we will be able to create a few more rows.

Sorry for the long delay in posting, I will try to be more diligent and get up another post before I leave for my family vacation on Saturday. The very capable Lindsey will be taking the reins in the garden next week!

  1. ahhhh you are both so amazing!!! Naomi and I just looked through the whole blog together in Berlin, and we are so excited and impressed with all the work you have done 🙂 truly incredible, you both are absolutely the best!!

  2. wow you’ve done such amazing work, this looks so beautiful! if you need more room in the main garden, feel free to take out some of the lemon balm. (we have so much of it and it’s not that useful.)
