The Garden Project is back in force for the 2017 season! We’ve updated this website which will serve as our main platform for recording our most recent goings-on in the garden. The snow is finally gone and the fertile soil is begging to be cultivated. In addition to garlic in the ground from last fall, we have already started our earliest crops in the greenhouse. Small onion, tomato, cucumber and broccoli sprouts line the starter trays. Outside, we are turning the past season’s beds while churning in dark compost from last years organic refuse. We are slightly adjusting the length and plan of the beds to increase the capacity of the fenced in space of the garden. We are days away from planting the beds of the garden for the upcoming season, which we will tend until summer begins and we pass on our work to the summer interns. Use this website to see who’s managing the garden, request to hold events there, and to find out when we are holding events and workdays to partake in.
